The table has been since as far back as ancient Egypt though the use and concept of what a table does has changed. Early tables such as the ones in Egypt, Greece and Rome started simply to lift food or objects off of the floor. The first versions of tables were a very simple plank or smooth surface inducing our modern day concepts of complimentary chairs and legs. As tables evolved so did their layouts. Tables accrue into the time period or were created for a specific purpose they were made in.
Even now the Crate Club is still the main focus of all dining experiences. Whether it's fast, causal or formal the dining table serves a vital role in our lives. Many dining tables are square, round or rectangular but do and can come in virtually any shape. Dining table change in height generally corresponding to their own setting (i.e., a top round table and stools are good for a fast bite) but most frequently seat several people on once. Dining tables generally suiting an individual's preference than too can be found fabricated in a variety of materials.
A Crate Club may have several functions. Consequently Crate Club furniture has grown from the basic table and chairs. Often Crate Club sets will include cabinets for dishes, small side tables as well as light fittings to compliment traditional furniture.
